DHS: 922 new cases of COVID-19, 10 more deaths

The Department of Health Services reported 922 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, for a total of 586,632 cases.

The state’s death toll is at 6,690 people, after DHS reported 10 more deaths.

An additional 3,885 Wisconsinites have been tested for COVID-19, for a total of 3,365,486.

DHS considers 8,616 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 794, up five from Monday and 160 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is six, the same as Monday and up one from a week ago.

As of Monday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.8 percent, the same as Sunday and up 0.4 percentage points from a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.

Wisconsin vaccinators administered 3,572,358 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Monday.

They gave 24,673 doses on Monday, with a seven-day average of 56,391 daily shots.

Per state data, 37.6 percent of the state’s population, or 2,190,652 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 24.8 percent, or 1,441,345 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.
