DHS: 373 new COVID-19 cases, one more death
The Department of Health Services reported 373 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, for a total of 590,831.
The state’s death toll is at 6,710 people, after DHS reported one more death.
An additional 3,042 Wisconsinites have been tested for COVID-19, for a total of 3,393,952.
DHS considers 8,850 cases active.
The seven-day average for daily new cases is 731, down four from Sunday and 58 from a week ago.
The seven-day average for daily new deaths is four, down one from Sunday and down two from a week ago.
As of Sunday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.4 percent, down 0.1 percentage points from Saturday and 0.4 percentage points from a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.
Per the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 357 total COVID-19 patients hospitalized Monday, up 39 from Sunday and 53 from a week ago.
Ninety-four were in intensive care units, up three from Sunday and 19 from a week ago.
Wisconsin vaccinators administered 3,920,796 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Monday.
They gave 22,336 doses on Monday, with a seven-day average of 45,048 daily shots.
Per state data, 40.4 percent of the state’s population, or 2,350,330 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 28.1 percent, or 1,635,592 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.
