DHS: 815 new COVID-19 cases, 17 more deaths 

The Department of Health Services reported 815 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, for a total of 595,864.

The state’s death toll is at 6,773, after DHS reported 17 deaths.

An additional 3,432 Wisconsinites have been tested for COVID-19, for a total of 3,429,533.

DHS considers 8,852 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 604, up two from Monday and down 110 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is eight, up one from Monday and up four from a week ago.

As of Monday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.1 percent, down 0.1 percentage points from Sunday and 0.4 percentage points from a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.

Per state data, 42.5 percent of the state’s population, or 2,473,608 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 32.4 percent, or 1,889,058 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.

Wisconsin vaccinators administered 4,302,648 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Tuesday.

They gave 36,173 doses on Tuesday, with a seven-day average of 39,705 daily shots.

Per the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 331 COVID-19 hospitalizations in the state, down 32 from Monday and 19 from a week ago.

There were 105 in intensive care units, down 16 from Monday and up six from a week ago.
