DHS: 667 new COVID-19 cases, 14 more deaths 

The Department of Health Services reported 667 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, for a total of 601,603.

The state’s death toll is 6,877, after DHS reported 14 more deaths.

An additional 5,330 Wisconsinites have been tested for COVID-19, for a total of 3,470,326.

DHS considers 8,663 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 606, down 20 from Wednesday and 17 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is nine, the same as Wednesday and down five from a week ago.

As of Wednesday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.3 percent, the same as Tuesday and a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.

Per state data, 43.9 percent of the state’s population, or 2,555,105 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 35.8 percent, or 2,086,243 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.

Wisconsin vaccinators administered 4,581,912 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Wednesday.

They gave 31,565 doses on Wednesday, with a seven-day average of 28,185 daily shots.
