DHS: 662 new COVID-19 cases, seven more deaths 

The Department of Health Services reported 662 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, for a total of 602,265.

The state’s death toll is 6,884, after DHS reported seven more deaths.

An additional 6,158 Wisconsinites have been tested for COVID-19, for a total of 3,476,484.

DHS considers 8,546 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 588, down 18 from Thursday and 34 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is nine, the same as Thursday and down three from a week ago.

As of Thursday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.2 percent, the same as Wednesday and down 0.1 percent from a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.

Per state data, 44.1 percent of the state’s population, or 2,564,935 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 36.4 percent, or 2,117,418 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.

Wisconsin vaccinators administered 4,622,855 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Thursday.

They gave 31,408 doses on Thursday, with a seven-day average of 26,809 daily shots.
