DHS: 151 new COVID-19 cases, one more death
The Department of Health Services reported 151 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, for a total of 608,583.
The state’s death toll is at 6,990, with one more death reported.
An additional 2,332 Wisconsinites have been tested, for a total of 3,538,401.
DHS considers 5,819 cases active.
The seven-day average for daily new cases is 329, up five from Sunday and down 95 from a week ago.
The seven-day average for daily new deaths is five, up one from Sunday and down three from a week ago.
As of Sunday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 2.5 percent, down 0.1 percentage points from Saturday and 0.3 percentage points from a week ago, per preliminary data from DHS.
Per the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 254 total COVID-19 patients hospitalized on Monday, up 12 from Sunday and down 67 from a week ago.
Eight-seven were in intensive care units, up eight from Saturday and 16 from a week ago.
Wisconsin vaccinators administered 5,052,793 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Sunday, giving 2,246 doses on that day, with a seven-day average of 22,262 daily shots.
Per state data, 46.8 percent of the state’s population, or 2,727,649 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 40.9 percent, or 2,384,175 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.
