DHS: 45.3 percent of Wisconsinites fully vaccinated against COVID-19
More than 45 percent of Wisconsinites are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Wisconsin vaccinators administered 5,457,746 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Sunday, with a seven-day average of 10,290 daily shots.
Per state data updated Monday, 49.6 percent of the state’s population, or 2,889,247 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 45.3 percent, or 2,639,398 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.
Per the data:
- 22.2 percent of Black residents are fully vaccinated.
- 29.9 percent of Latinx residents are fully vaccinated.
- 28 percent of American Indian residents are fully vaccinated.
- 41.6 percent of Asian residents are fully vaccinated.
- 42.5 percent of white residents are fully vaccinated.
More than six percent of those fully vaccinated are of unknown race, while 3.9 percent reported a race of “other.” And 5.7 percent of records were reported without ethnicity.
DHS reported 23 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total to 612,155. It reported four probable cases on Sunday, for a total of 64,664.
The seven-day average for daily new confirmed cases was 74, down 38 from a week ago. The seven-day average for daily new probable cases was 19.
There were 7,250 confirmed deaths and 814 probable ones, with no new deaths reported Sunday. The seven-day average for daily new deaths was two.
