WCHQ Statewide Quality Improvement Event & Diabetes Summit to take place June 22 in Madison

MADISON, WI (May 2, 2023) —– There is still time to register for the Wisconsin Collaborative for
Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) Statewide Quality Improvement Event & Diabetes Summit. With the theme,
“The Next Step in Healthcare Quality Improvement,” the event will take place Thursday, June 22 in
Madison, Wisconsin.

“This event is not limited to our WCHQ members,” reported WCHQ President/CEO Gabrielle Rude, PhD.
“We invite anyone with an interest in healthcare quality to join us.”

The event features a morning session dedicated to presentations on healthcare quality, including
immunizations and disparities in the delivery of mental health care. Afternoon speakers will share
important information relating to quality care for patients living with diabetes and obesity.

A featured guest will be Novo Nordisk Patient Ambassador and Celebrity Chef Sam Choy. Sam is best
known as a key contributor to “Pacific Rim Cuisine.” He has published several best-selling books, has
been featured on the Food Network, and was nominated for, and won, multiple James Beard awards for
his work as a chef. Sam will share his story of being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and how he hopes
to motivate others to keep their health and weight management top of mind.

requested by June 15, 2023.
