The Senate voted 20-13 Wednesday night to advance the Republican-authored 2023-25 state budget. The plan would provide around $3 billion more at the Department of Health Services for Medicaid rate increases and other initiatives, but lacks many of the health-related proposals offered by Gov. Tony Evers.
