DHS: 1,672 new COVID-19 cases, seven more deaths

Health officials reported 1,672 more COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, for a total of 104,170.

There were seven more deaths, for a total of 1,251.

According to the Department of Health Services, 12,537 more people were tested, for a total of 1,452,662. Tuesday’s positivity rate was 13.3 percent.

The seven-day average positivity rate was 16.7 percent. The seven-day average for new daily cases was 1,838.

According to the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 474 COVID-19 hospitalizations in the state, an increase of 41.

There were 134 in intensive care units, an uptick of three.
