DHS: 45,638 Wisconsinites complete COVID-19 vaccination series

Health officials said 45,638 Wisconsinites have completed their COVID-19 vaccination series as of Tuesday.

The Department of Health Services reported 1,522 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, for a total of 525,924.

Fifty more deaths brought the state’s death toll to 5,562.

An additional 6,645 Wisconsinites were tested, for a total of 2,976,446.

DHS considers 23,904 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 1,807, down 88 from Tuesday and 839 from last week.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is 45, up two from Tuesday and 15 from last week.

As of Tuesday, the seven-day positivity rate by person was 22.9 percent, down 0.8 percentage points from Monday and 5.3 percentage points from last week.

The seven-day positivity rate by test was 7.2 percent, down 0.2 percentage points from Monday and 2 percentage points from last week.

No patients were at the surge facility in West Allis on Wednesday.
