DHS: Around 184,000 Wisconsinites complete COVID-19 vaccination series

A little under 184,000 Wisconsinites have completed their COVID-19 vaccinations, per state data released Wednesday.

Wisconsin vaccinators administered 822,910 COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Tuesday, with 183,758 Wisconsinites receiving their second dose.

The Department of Health Services reported 821 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, for a total of 551,871.

Thirty-five more deaths brought the total to 6,129.

An additional 5,813 people were tested, for a total of 3,098,447.

DHS considers 12,790 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 919, down 51 from Tuesday and 351 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is 25, up three from Tuesday and down two from a week ago.

As of Tuesday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.9 percent, down 0.1 percentage points from Monday and 1 percentage point from a week ago.
