DHS: 318 new COVID-19 cases, 15 more deaths
The Department of Health Services reported 318 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, for a total of 570,730.
DHS reported 15 more deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 6,554 people.
An additional 2,848 Wisconsinites were tested for the virus, for a total of 3,245,941. DHS considers 6,311 cases active.
The seven-day average for daily new cases is 411, down 28 from Tuesday and up 23 from a week ago.
The seven-day average for daily new deaths is four, the same as Tuesday and down five from a week ago.
As of Tuesday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 2.2 percent, up 0.1 percentage points from Monday and a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.

Per state data, 22.4 percent of the state’s population, or 1,306,478 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and 12.9 percent, or 738,714 Wisconsinites, have completed the vaccine series.
