DHS: 38 percent of Wisconsinites have at least one COVID-19 vaccine shot

Thirty-eight percent of Wisconsinites have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

3,617,906 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Tuesday.

They gave 39,414 doses on Tuesday, with a seven-day average of 52,905 daily shots.

Per state data, 38 percent of the state’s population, or 2,214,114 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 25.2 percent, or 1,467,815 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.

The Department of Health Services reported 929 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, for a total of 587,561 cases.

The state’s death toll is at 6,695 people, after DHS reported five more deaths.

An additional 5,805 Wisconsinites have been tested for COVID-19, for a total of 3,371,291.

DHS considers 8,844 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is six, the same as Tuesday and up two from a week ago.

As of Tuesday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.8 percent, the same as Monday and up 0.2 percentage points from a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.
