Gov. Tony Evers tapped Bill Hanna to run the state’s Medicaid program in January 2024. Hanna took the reins during the midst of a massive unwinding of a policy that kept folks on the Medicaid rolls during the pandemic, a process that shrunk program enrollment by hundreds of thousands of people.
