Feb. 10 – Medical College of Wisconsin CEO Dr. John Raymond

Medical College of Wisconsin President and CEO Dr. John Raymond announced last year that he will step down from his leadership role in the summer of 2026 after serving as the institution’s president since 2010. Over his 16-year tenure, Raymond oversaw the establishment of two regional campuses, a pharmacy school and the ThriveOn Collaboration, a joint venture focused on addressing health inequities. During that time, philanthropic support at MCW increased by 400 percent, research expenditures doubled and patient visits tripled.

Raymond also guided MCW through COVID-19, emerging as one of Wisconsin’s most trusted voices during the pandemic.

At a Wisconsin Health News Newsmaker event on Feb. 10, Raymond will reflect on his tenure and discuss what’s next for MCW.
