Schools across Wisconsin shifted to virtual learning in the spring of 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic started its initial spread. Since then, many have attempted to reopen, while the state’s largest school districts have mostly stayed closed. With COVID-19 still at some of its highest levels since the pandemic began, health officials are starting to loosen guidance on a return to in-person classes and more districts are heading back to the classroom.
How safe are schools? And what impact are they having on the spread of the disease? What health precautions are districts taking as they bring back students?
A Wisconsin Health News panel will examine these questions and more on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
