MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Health Payment Systems, Inc. (HPS), a Wisconsin health care technology company that streamlines claims administration and simplifies the payment experience for providers and patients, has added Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin to its growing network.

Including Froedtert Hospital, the following facilities also are now part of HPS’ network:

  • St. Joseph’s Hospital – West Bend
  • Community Memorial Hospital – Menomonee Falls
  • Froedtert Health Medical Group
  • West Bend Clinic
  • Froedtert Health Clinics and Facilities
  • Medical College Physicians

The new relationship allows HPS members to utilize any of the above physicians and hospital facilities as “in-network” and allows those patients with HPS to access the Super EOBSM–a simple, clear monthly statement that includes all health care charges for the entire family. It helps patients better understand their overall care costs and make smart decisions when it comes to their health.

“Our patented technology helps providers like Froedtert and the Medical College focus on their core competency of delivering quality health care, and allows employers to better manage health care costs,” explained HPS President and Chief Executive Officer Jay Fulkerson. “We help reduce the cost and complexity of health care administration.”

The addition of these three systems to the HPS provider network means HPS now offers its members access to more than 80% of the available providers in Eastern Wisconsin.

Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin patients whose employers partner with HPS have already begun receiving the Super EOB. The monthly statement includes all health care providers in the HPS network who rendered services to an employee’s family. The Super EOB is an easy-to-read statement, similar to a credit card statement.

Since HPS was founded in 2005, it has developed patented processes that allow it to streamline healthcare billing and collection in several ways:

  • Providers receive a single electronic payment for both the benefit plan and patient portions of a bill.
  • Employers save money because HPS passes along savings it secures from providers.
  • Families receive the Super EOB monthly, which includes health care services from all HPS providers, for all family members.

Health Payment Systems reduces the cost of health care administration while making the health care payment experience easier for consumers to understand. The company’s provider network includes more than 6,500 health care practitioners in Wisconsin. HPS enrolls more than 75,000 patient members and has 40 employees.
