Lawsuit reform concerns advocate for elderly
A local attorney says the lawsuit reform bill signed into law Thursday by Gov. Scott Walker will dangerously limit the legal rights of senior citizens across the state, the Stevens Point Journal reports. Approved by both houses of the Republican-controlled Legislature last week, the measure has been praised by some business groups, but some advocates for the elderly and disabled say the law will serve only as a shield for abusers.
