Edgerton OKs plans to expand Mercy clinic

A $2 million expansion of Mercy Edgerton Health Center is set to move forward after the city’s plan commission Monday approved a site plan to double the size of the clinic at 217 N. Main St, the Janesville Gazette reports. Mercy Health System has not announced a start date for the expansion, and the city on Tuesday had not approved a building permit for the project. La Crosse-Eau Claire area makes national list for hospital care

The La Crosse-Eau Claire area was ranked No. 24 in the country for hospital care in a study released today, the La Crosse Tribune reports. The La Crosse-Eau Claire area was Wisconsin’s top region in the rankings. The La Crosse and Eau Claire areas were considered together in the study done by HealthGrades, an independent health care ratings organization. It is the first-ever list of America’s top 50 cities for hospital care. Milwaukee was ranked 25th and was the only other Wisconsin city to make the list. (LA CROSSE TRIBUNE, 1/26)

Rep. Pasch: The Arizona Tragedy and Mental Health
