Sacred Heart Hospital opens new location for occupational health & medicine program

Eau Claire, Wis., – The Sacred Heart Hospital division of “Partners In Health,” Sacred Heart and St. Joseph’s hospital’s combined occupational health & medicine program, is moving to a new location on the east side of the main entrance of Sacred Heart Hospital, 900 West Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire. An open house for community members will take place on May 12 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy tours and refreshments, and the event is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to enter through Sacred Heart Hospital’s Main Lobby entrance (900 West Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire).

Partners In Health offers area employers comprehensive and accessible services that include treating and managing injuries that arise in the workplace, as well as return-to-work services, and illness and injury prevention programs.

Services of the new 2,438-square-foot center, led by Larry Studt, M.D., medical director of the Partners In Health occupational health & medicine program, include: work-related injury/illness exams; substance abuse testing; respirator fit and hazardous materials exams; pre-placement physicals; DOT and bus driver physicals; return to work/fitness for duty exams; second opinion consultations; immunizations; hearing tests; respiratory function testing; pre-placement agility testing; functional job analysis; transitional work programs such as work conditioning and work hardening; functional capacity testing; ergonomics and injury prevention presentations; and biomechanics training, which teaches employees how to improve body mechanics for work and lifestyle activities. The program’s team of physicians, nurses, occupational therapists and support staff provides injury care to hundreds of employers in the Chippewa Valley and surrounding areas.

The Partners in Health program at Sacred Heart Hospital was previously located at 2125 Heights Drive, Suite 3B, in Eau Claire. (The Center for Industrial Rehabilitation will remain at the Heights Drive location.) The location of the Partners in Health program at St. Joseph’s Hospital, 2661 County Highway I, has not changed.
