Chiropractic patients file class action lawsuit against Wisconsin insurers

Five Wisconsin women have filed a class action lawsuit against five Wisconsin health insurers claiming they illegally charged co-payments for chiropractic care. The suit was filed on behalf of chiropractic patients with insurance from United Healthcare, Wisconsin Physicians Service, Humana, Network Health Plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Compcare Health Services. Last year more than 300,000 individuals sought chiropractic care in Wisconsin, according to the complaint. (WHN, 7/26)
