Independent Pharmacy Group CEO sees room for growth

It was 1983 when seven independent pharmacies in Madison joined forces to create a group to get better pricing on pharmaceuticals, gauze, sunglasses, greeting cards, candy bars and anything else found in a pharmacy. Today, Independent Pharmacy Group, founded by Mike Flint, who would go on to purchase Mallatt Pharmacy in Madison, now has 4,000 members in all 50 states and is the largest group purchasing organization for independent pharmacies in the country.
