The “Sick Kids Can’t Wait” campaign to benefit American Family Children’s Hospital will welcome Mike and Jessica McCarthy as honorary co-chairs at a news conference on Sunday, June 10 at 11:30 a.m. in the children’s hospital lobby.
The Green Bay Packers head coach and his wife will be in Madison for their annual visit with patients at the children’s hospital. Before the private hospital tour, the McCarthys will meet with the media to discuss their family’s commitment to support American Family Children’s Hospital.
“Sick Kids Can’t Wait” is a four-year, $32 million building project to meet the growing needs of patients and families at American Family Children’s Hospital. It is the first phase of a 10-year strategic plan to complete American Family Children’s Hospital on the UW Health campus. The project will add a total of 26 beds in pediatric intensive care, another operating room and imaging capabilities within the children’s hospital. All the facilities will be designed and equipped specifically for pediatric patients.
