MADISON, Wis. – The loss of two memorable local men to cancer, Randi Neumeyer and Paul Petersen, has resulted in an 11-year tradition of raising money on the links for Agrace HospiceCare, south central Wisconsin’s nonprofit community-based hospice since 1978. On Saturday, July 21, the event will begin with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. for a game of scramble at Lake Windsor Golf Club, 4628 Golf Road, in Windsor. Golfers may register either as an individual or as a foursome. Dinner options, tee sponsorships or hole sponsorships are also available in the goal to support patients and families served by Agrace.

This year’s event gives attendees the opportunity to meet with local celebrities, including Casey FitzRandolph, 2002 Olympic gold-medal winner, and Marc Pelchat, 1998 and 2002 member of the Men’s Olympic Speed Skating Team. Madison-area media celebrities from WMTV, WISC, and WKOW are also potential golf partners.

Lake Windsor Golf Club is adding an incentive for golfers to participate by donating to each registrant an additional 18 holes of golf. When reserving your tee time at (608) 846-4711, identify yourself as a participant of the Neumy Golf Outing 2012 and receive your free 18 holes of golf, redeemable Monday through Thursday, June 21 – July 19. For an event registration form, contact Dave at (608) 663-0173 or dave@hofsi.com, or visit neumybenefit.com.

Agrace HospiceCare has been providing physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families dealing with life-limiting conditions for more than 30 years. Formerly known as HospiceCare Inc., Agrace HospiceCare is a nonprofit, community-based hospice that took on its new name in 2011. With offices in Madison and Janesville, Agrace HospiceCare serves residents in Dane, Green, Jefferson, Rock and Walworth counties.
