Physicians Plus moves away from UW, adds Mayo, Froedtert, and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin

The relationship between Meriter and UW Health grew more strained Tuesday with an announcement by Physicians Plus that starting January 1, it will no longer cover primary care services at UW Hospital and Clinics owned facilities and that it’s adding Mayo Clinic, Froedtert Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to its network. The new arrangement will “change the way” members access UW services, according to Physicians Plus officials. (WHN, 6/20)
