Wheaton plans $49 million expansion of Franklin hospital

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare is seeking approval for a $49 million expansion of its hospital in Franklin. The health care system, pending city approvals, would begin work this year on a 65,000-square-foot medical office building projected to cost $13 million to $15 million, said Dan Mattes, president of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare's central market.
