Physician Citizen of the Year nominations due December 14

MADISON – Nominations for the Wisconsin Medical Society’s Physician Citizen of the Year Award are due Friday, December 14, 2012. The Physician Citizen of the Year Award recognizes physicians in Wisconsin who volunteer their time and talents through civic and cultural activities, helping to improve the health and well-being of their communities.

Consider nominating a friend, colleague or your personal physician for this award. Details and a nomination form are available on the Society’s website.

In 2012, the Society honored the following physicians with the Physician Citizen of the Year Award: A. John Capelli, MD, Kenosha; Haakon P. Carlson, MD, Prairie du Sac; Richard T. Crane, MD, FACS, Eau Claire; William J. Jarvis, MD, Wausau; Robert Rohloff, MD, New Berlin; Blaise Vitale, MD, Grantsburg; Kris Lahren, MD, Wausau; Mark Mirick, MD, Wausau; Bruce Rhoades, MD, Chippewa Falls.

With nearly 12,500 members dedicated to the best interests of their patients, the Wisconsin Medical Society is the largest association of medical doctors in the state and a trusted source for health policy leadership since 1841.
