Board recommends closing high risk pool at end of year

The Health Insurance Risk-Sharing Plan Authority Board of Directors officially recommended Wednesday closing the state's high risk pool at the end of the year. HIRSP officials previously proposed keeping the pool running for a transitional period after the federal health reform law's guaranteed issue kicks in January 2014. (WHN, 2/28)
