Smith: It's 'untrue' that rejected federal Medicaid money goes to other states

Outgoing Department of Health Services Secretary Dennis Smith, who served as President George W. Bush's Medicaid chief, denied a claim Tuesday made by advocates and an increasing number of Republican governors that states that don't choose the federal health reform law's Medicaid expansion are subsidizing those that do. Smith, who starts Friday at a law firm in Washington D.C., spoke at ABC for Health's HealthWatch Wisconsin Conference. (WHN, 2/27)
