Andy North hosts benefit for UW Carbone Cancer Center

MADISON- The fifth annual Andy North and Friends has raised more than $910,000 for the UW Carbone Cancer Center.  North, a skin cancer survivor, pro golfer and ESPN golf analyst, announced the total amount raised this morning at Trappers Turn Golf Club.

More than 650 people attended a dinner at the Kalahari Resort on Sunday night; 120 golfers participated in the outing today at Trappers Turn, and more than 100 people went to a $100-a-plate luncheon and cooking demonstration by L’Etoile head chef Tory Miller, a James Beard award-winning chef.

Since the start of the event in 2009, Andy North and Friends have raised more than $4 million for the Andy North fund to benefit the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
