Unity Health Insurance enrolls 1,000th participant in 9 Months & More program

Unity Health Insurance announced that the 1,000th participant has enrolled in its 9 Months & More program. In celebration of reaching this milestone, Unity has donated $1,000 to March of Dimes, West Wisconsin Division.

9 Months & More provides education and guidance to pregnant women. Healthy pregnancies, deliveries, and reduced neonatal intensive care unit services are the program’s goals.

Unity has received positive feedback from participants about the program. One member said, “It was really nice to have the added support during my pregnancy. I felt like I wasn’t just another number and that someone was genuinely concerned and interested in how I was doing.”

Each 9 Months & More participant receives information about the stages of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as encouragement to attend all recommended prenatal and postpartum visits. Personal one-on-one assessments are conducted each trimester to address any questions, help arrange for needed resources, discuss lifestyle habits and stress the importance of postpartum care.

March of Dimes is a non-profit organization that has a similar mission for healthy pregnancies and deliveries.

The organization uses donations to research problems that threaten babies’ health, including premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.

9 Months & More is available to all Unity members who are currently pregnant. For more information, please visit unityhealth.com.
