ThedaCare boosts physician recruitment efforts in Black Creek

Full time physician sought

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

June 25, 2014

ThedaCare’s Black Creek-area patients and their families have been consistently served by a combination of nurse practitioners and a part-time physician since the transfer of Dr. Erin Trost from the clinic late last year.

According to Jessie Grasse, APNP, and a ThedaCare Physicians-Black Creek employee for 12 years, people in the community remain concerned about the clinic’s long stretch without its own full time physician. “Our clinic is strong, it is staying in Black Creek, and we expect to find a new doctor very soon. We are recruiting for someone who has a passion for practicing medicine in a small town. People who live in and around Black Creek appreciate knowing their doctor, oftentimes personally,” Grasse said. “It’s a special kind of relationship that you don’t see in really big clinics.”

Physician interviews are ongoing and when an offer is made and accepted, it will be announced publicly.

In the meantime, to schedule an appointment for the same dayMonday-Friday, patients can call ThedaCare Physicians-Black Creek at (920) 984-3361. Saturday and Sunday, they can be seen at ThedaCare Physicians-North in Appleton.

Current providers and their schedules are

  • Nancy Buchholz, APNP (Mon.)
  • Jessie Grasse, APNP (Tues. and Fri.)
  • Kari Sheldon, MD (Weds. and Thurs.).
