Health insurer adds 12 more jobs to local economy
BROOKFIELD, WIS (August 4, 2014) – Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative (CGHC), a nonprofit, member-governed insurance company that began insuring residents of 19 Eastern Wisconsin counties at the beginning of this year, has announced the grand opening of a new member services center in Brookfield.
The move will allow the member-governed insurance cooperative to provide enhanced support to its health insurance customers and the health care providers in its network.
“Opening a dedicated member services center is a significant milestone for us,” said CGHC CEO Cathy Mahaffey. “Given our member-focused mission and our growth, it became imperative for us to add staff here, in Wisconsin, to quickly address members’ questions about claims, benefits or anything else.”
Mahaffey said the new office will be staffed by local, experienced health insurance professionals that understand insurance from a consumer perspective and the importance of helping members resolve issues easily and efficiently.
CGHC currently has more than 27,000 members – more than double its projections for 2014.
