Anthem’s Medicare Plan in Wisconsin Receives Four Stars from CMS for 2015

Ratings System Helps Measure Quality; Five Stars is the Highest Performer

The annual Star Ratings measure plans on around 50 criteria, including getting members needed health screenings, managing chronic conditions, customer service and member satisfaction. Five stars is the highest ranking a plan can receive.

The plan serves members in the following counties: Brown, Calumet, Columbia, Dodge, Fond Du Lac, Green Lake, Jefferson, Manitowoc, Marathon, Marinette, Oconto, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Portage, Shawano, Sheboygan, Washington, Waupaca, Waushara, and Winnebago.

“We have been working hard on our Medicare Star Ratings and are very pleased that this work has been rewarded with a Four-Star rating in Wisconsin,” said David McNichols, Anthem’s central region president for Medicare. “We are continuing to launch new programs every year to improve member health and experience with the goal of moving even higher.”

CMS created the Star Ratings to help people in comparing plans on quality and performance. Those interested in knowing more about the Star Ratings of various Medicare plans can visit the CMS website at www.medicare.gov for details.
