Sauk Prairie Healthcare Receives 2014 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence AwardSM for Achieving 95th Percentile in Patient Experience
Prairie du Sac, WI – Sauk Prairie Healthcare is proud to announce it has been named a Press Ganey Associates 2014 Guardian of Excellence Award winner for the second year in a row. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing facilities that consistently achieved the 95th percentile of performance in Patient Experience in Inpatient Care.
The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally recognized symbol of achievement in health care. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top 5% of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.
Press Ganey is the nation’s leading health care performance improvement company and partners with more than 11,000 health care facilities, including more than half of all U.S. hospitals, to reduce suffering and improve the patient experience.
“The award is a testament to Sauk Prairie Healthcare’s commitment to deliver more patient-centered care,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey. “By achieving and sustaining this level of excellence, Sauk Prairie Healthcare is benefiting patients and helping advance the quality of health care.”
“The recognition speaks volumes about the compassion and respect we have for our patients at Sauk Prairie Healthcare,” said Larry Schroeder, Sauk Prairie Healthcare CEO. “We continued to serve at the highest quality even while transitioning to a new hospital building earlier this year. The award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience.”
For example, Sauk Prairie Healthcare relied on the advice of more than a dozen moms from throughout the area when planning the Birth Center for the new hospital. Women who delivered babies at Sauk Prairie Hospital and elsewhere took part in focus groups and shared their thoughts and birthing experiences, giving hospital planners a look into what type of experience moms really want.
