Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center Earns Nursing Care’s Highest Honor

Aurora St. Luke’s recognized for the fourth consecutive time

Milwaukee – Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center today announced it has once again received Magnet® designation, the highest honor for nursing care bestowed by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC). The hospital is receiving the honor for the fourth time in a row and is one of only 21 hospitals in the world to do so.

Magnet Recognition, which is awarded in four-year cycles, acknowledges excellence in nursing, using quality and best practices as primary measures. A Magnet-designated hospital has been recognized by the ANCC for achieving excellence in evidence-based best-practices in more than 35 areas of focus, including infection prevention and patient safety.

Receiving Magnet designation for the fourth time places Aurora St. Luke’s nursing team in an elite group. Less than one-percent of hospitals in the world have achieved this recognition four times in a row.
