Aurora Health Care announces new name for Visiting Nurses Association

Milwaukee, Wis. – Building on more than 100 years of rich history in Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care’s Visiting Nurses Association today announced a new chapter as the organization changes its name to Aurora at Home.

The new name is intended to better reflect the overall care the organization provides to people and families throughout eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, offered through a high-touch, high-tech care model.

Aurora at Home services include health care at home, hospice care, palliative care, in-home health monitoring, home infusion, home medical equipment and supplies, home respiratory services, and access to the Aurora Zilber Family Hospice, located in Wauwatosa.

The team includes nurses, therapists, dieticians, pharmacists and aides, providing a variety of care homes of patients.

“The new Aurora at Home identity is intended to more effectively communicate the full array of services we provide to people and families throughout the region,” said Ray Darcey, president of Aurora at Home. “The future of health care delivery is in the home, and we believe our new name will help us better meet the needs of the people we care for.”

All patients that receive care by the Aurora at Home team also are seamlessly transitioned into the integrated delivery model offered at Aurora Health Care. Through the model, patients have immediate access to specialists for both inpatient and outpatient care.
