Madison chiropractors extend practice into corporate wellness at Flambeau Inc.

Sekanick Bros. first in Madison area to join forces with Cultivate by Standard Process

MADISON, Wis.—July 14, 2015—Brothers Samuel and Christopher Sekanick are well-known, respected Madison-area chiropractors. Today, the doctors and Cultivate by Standard Process announced the Sekanicks are the first in Madison certified in the Cultivate metrics-driven approach to on-site corporate wellness. And, they’re the first to launch the proven corporate wellness program at a Madison-area corporation, Flambeau Inc. in Baraboo.

“A revolution in chiropractic care is coming to corporations seeking to improve bottom- and top-line performance,” Samuel Sekanick says. “Flambeau Inc. is on the forefront of this revolution that will dramatically expand the reach of chiropractic care by bringing chiropractic, nutrition, fitness and education on-site where employees spend much of their day.”

The Sekanicks are the first chiropractors to become Cultivate certified on-site practitioners in the Madison area. Certification ensures chiropractors are well-versed in on-site wellness best practices including nutrition, fitness, on-site safety and ergonomics, and overall business acumen. Participants learn a variety of skills to help develop deeper business partnerships, both inside and outside organizations. The program will support the growing demand of companies looking for on-site, chiropractic professionals who can deliver the Cultivate product offering.

“Flambeau has had its own clinic for over two years and the addition of Cultivate will add another level of service for our associates,” says Mark Rieland, Flambeau Director of HR. “We are excited about the cooperative effort to reduce work-related injuries as well as providing nutritional counseling and chiropractic care.”

Cultivate is the first company of its kind that incorporates an on-site chiropractic professional with nutritional expertise as part of an organization’s wellness offering. This expert serves as the central resource to provide key elements of an effective wellness program, including chiropractic care, fitness consulting, nutritional guidance, and ongoing health education curricula.

“We’ve seen firsthand the impact that dedicated, trained chiropractors can have being on-site as part of an organization’s overall wellness program,” said Jerry Curtin, president/general manager of Cultivate by Standard Process.

Cultivate’s model delivers statistically- and clinically-significant differences in employee health factors and the reduction of long-term health risks, according to the Medical College of Wisconsin and UW-Milwaukee School of Public Health.

This easy-to-read, two-page report shows employee health factors improved related to safety, cancer and heart health. Participant blood pressure, nutrition and stress levels improved along with better body mass index, cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The report is based on 10 years of employee data from Cultivate’s parent company, Standard Process.
