UnitedHealthcare launches mobile app to help Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries more easily navigate the health system
- Health4Me mobile app now available to UnitedHealthcare Medicaid beneficiaries in 17 states
- Mobile resource helps all consumers more easily locate nearby health care providers and access digital ID cards
MINNETONKA, Minn. (Aug. 11, 2015) – UnitedHealthcare, a UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) company, is introducing its mobile app Health4Me® to Medicaid beneficiaries in 17 states, enabling plan participants to access important health information anytime, anywhere.
The app enables people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Medicaid plans to more easily manage their health benefits and navigate the health system, including:
- accessing personal coverage health details, including a digital ID card, plan summary and member handbook;
- reviewing their care history;
- tracking processed claims;
- locating nearby physicians, hospitals and medical facilities; and
- obtaining health information from a nurse.
Health4Me is available at no additional charge on iPhone® and Android® devices through the Apple App Store and Google Play. A similar version of Health4Me is available to more than 13 million UnitedHealthcare plan participants enrolled in employer-sponsored health plans, and the app has been downloaded more than 1.4 million times since it launched in 2012.

Health4Me is now available to Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
