Dean Health Plan receives Well Workplace Award – Platinum Level

For the second consecutive year, Dean Health Plan has received an important wellness award.

The Wellness Council of America, with local affiliate Wellness Council of Wisconsin, recently presented its coveted Platinum Level Well Workplace Award to Madison, Wisconsin-based Dean Health Plan.

The Platinum Well Workplace Award recognizes an organization for its commitment to the health and well-being of employees. The Well Workplace Awards initiative is driven by strategic planning, implementation, and assessment criteria outlined in WELCOA’s seven benchmarks to a result-oriented Well Workplace.

“We recognize the value of investing in the health of Dean employees,” said Frank Lucia, President and CEO of Dean Health Plan. “I am proud of our Health & Wellness program, and all that the committee has accomplished over the past several years to help build a culture that supports healthy lifestyles,” added Lucia. “Our employee wellness program has allowed us to strengthen the health promotion services that we provide to employers who choose Dean for their insurance.”

“Dean Health Plan worked hard to successfully meet the rigorous standards set by the Well Workplace process. It is our pleasure to recognize them as one of Wisconsin’s healthiest companies” said Wellness Council of Wisconsin’s Executive Director, Jessica Raddemann.
The Wellness Council of Wisconsin comprises nearly 500 Wisconsin employers of all sizes and types – from manufacturing to service providers, representing more than 450,000 employees.
