Ministry Medical Group plans new Schofield Clinic
Renovations underway to prepare new clinic location
Wausau, Wis. – Ministry Medical Group has announced plans to open a new clinic in Schofield, Wisconsin, at 1699 Schofield Avenue.
The newest Ministry Medical Group clinic location is a remodel of an existing building, and will offer primary care services once open. Construction on the new clinic site is expected to be completed in early April.
When finished, the Schofield clinic will include 6,600 square feet. Parking will be located just outside the clinic, with a pharmacy nearby.
Jennifer Rhea, Director of Specialty Care for Ministry Medical Group, says the new clinic is part of an effort to make healthcare more convenient. “We know that patients want primary care that is easy to access. Opening this new Schofield clinic on a heavily-traveled intersection, near a residential area, will provide people with easier access to healthcare.”
Rhea says the Schofield clinic opening is part of a larger Ministry Health Care project to offer expanded primary care and specialty care services in the greater Wausau area. Another Ministry Medical Group clinic is currently under construction along Westwood Drive near Bridge Street, adjacent to Highway 51. It is projected to open in early 2017. That clinic will offer a range of primary care, specialty care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, diagnostic testing and lab services.
