Bellin Health Partners joins Security Health Plan provider network

MARSHFIELD – Security Health Plan of Wisconsin today announced that Bellin Health Partners, one of Wisconsin’s leading health organizations, has joined the insurance company’s provider network.

“Adding Bellin Health Partners to our network of providers and facilities further ensures that our members have easy access to high-quality health care anywhere they live in the Health Plan’s service area,” said John Kelly, chief marketing and operations officer for Security Health Plan. “For more than a century the doctors and nurses of Bellin Health have offered superb care to residents of northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.”

Bellin Health Partners, based in Green Bay, is an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) that includes Bellin Health and independent health care providers. It is participating in the Next Generation Accountable Care Organization Model through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Bellin generated $14 million in savings through it participation in the CMS Pioneer ACO Model in collaboration with ThedaCare.

Bellin Health is an integrated health system with more than 3,600 employees that is known for its emphasis on preventive health care. It is a regional leader in cardiac, orthopedics, sports medicine, digestive health, mental health and primary care medicine. It is comprised of Bellin Hospital, Bellin Psychiatric Center, 31 Bellin primary care physician clinics and several retail health clinics known as Bellin Health FastCare. Bellin also operates Bellin Health Oconto Hospital, a critical care access hospital in Oconto, Bellin Fitness and Bellin College.

Coverage for services received from Bellin Health Partners providers depend on a member’s product and benefit design.
