Aurora Sinai Medical Center recognized for superior maternity care

Milwaukee, Wis. – Aurora Health Care is pleased to announce that Aurora Sinai Medical Center has been named a Blue Distinction Center from Blue Cross and Blue Shield for superior quality standards in Blue Cross and Blue Shield gives this award to hospitals that demonstrate proven expertise in delivering specialty care. The evaluation criteria are based on what impacts patients most, including medical team expertise, number of procedures and track record for procedure results. Above all else, Blue Distinction Centers, or BDCs, meet nationally established, objective quality measures.

The maternity service at Aurora Sinai Medical Center is judged on quality care during the delivery episode of care, which includes both vaginal and cesarean section delivery. The hospital’s services in this specialty area meet or exceed Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s high standards.

The BDC title is to provide current and prospective patients the right hospitals for their unique health needs and help them make educated healthcare choices.
