UnityPoint Health – Meriter receives 2016 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award

Recognized for outstanding performance in patient experience

MADISON, Wis. – UnityPoint Health – Meriter is pleased to announce it has been named a 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award^®

winner by Press Ganey for outstanding patient experience in its primary and specialty care clinics.

“A patient’s experience with a health care provider goes beyond their diagnosis and treatment. It includes strong communication, access to care and sensitivity to each family’s individual needs,” said Julie Sampson, Director of Patient Experience at Meriter. “Our team works very hard to ensure each patient has a positive experience at our clinics, and we are proud to receive national recognition for our efforts.”

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in health care. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently achieved the 95^th percentile or above of performance in Patient Experience.

The award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience.

Selected hospitals include Stewart County Memorial Hospital (Lake City, Iowa) Clarke County Hospital (Osceola, Iowa) and  Grundy County Memorial Hospital (Grundy Center, Iowa).
