MetaStar honored for achievements in performance excellence

MADISON – MetaStar, Inc. received the 2016 Wisconsin Forward Award, Mastery Level and was recognized Wednesday, November 30 at an award ceremony and gala held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison. This year’s ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of eight Wisconsin organizations who have demonstrated significant progress in their performance excellence journeys. The awards ceremony also acknowledged the thousands of service hours contributed by its volunteer Board of Examiners.

During remarks to the audience, Brett Remington, Interim Executive Director for the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence remarked, “MetaStar is dedicated to ensuring the healthiest lives possible, with health care improvement and consulting services to address the need for system-wide innovation and consistent evidence-based approaches across settings of care. They are making a significant difference in the lives of Wisconsin residents by helping our best health care providers achieve safer and more efficient outcomes. We appreciate their leadership, and proud of their work.”

The Wisconsin Forward Award (WFA) Program recognizes Wisconsin organizations that embrace Performance Excellence modeled on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. WFA’s evaluation process is based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, providing a framework and criteria to guide high performance practices in the areas of leadership, planning, customers, information management, their workforce, business processes and organizational results. Organizations submit a self-assessment to the program for an in-depth review and written feedback from a team of volunteer Examiners.

Wisconsin Forward Award, Inc. was created in 1997 by the Governor’s Council on Workforce Investment. The award promotes excellence in organizational management, recognizes the achievements and results of Wisconsin organizations implementing performance excellence systems, and publicizes successful performance excellence management strategies.
