Pediatric Home Service expands across Wisconsin

A Minnesota-based home healthcare provider serving children with medical complexities has expanded its services across the state of Wisconsin.

Pediatric Home Service is hosting a grand opening celebration Thursday at its Pewaukee location, which opened Aug. 6.

The location will offer respiratory therapy and support enteral nutrition, which often involves a feeding tube. It’ll also supply durable medical equipment and clinical trainings.

Pediatric Home Service President Mark Hamman said they’ve served parts of western Wisconsin for years. They decided to enter the entire state because of requests from providers and families they’ve worked with.

“We felt like this was the time to do it,” he said.

The state has also changed its Medicaid rates on ventilators, which prompted the expansion.

“Once we were able to get a better reimbursement on ventilators, that was kind of the trigger,” he said.

Pediatric Home Service currently supports more than 5,000 children in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
