Froedtert & MCW FastCare Clinic to Open in Sheboygan

Froedtert & MCW partnership with Meijer grows to five clinics in four counties

Sheboygan, WI (April 24, 2019) – Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network will open a FastCare health clinic inside the new Meijer store at 924 North Taylor Dr. in Sheboygan. The clinic, which is scheduled to open April 25, will provide convenient access to affordable care for many minor health problems such as cold and flu symptoms, sore throats, and ear, sinus and bladder infections.

The clinic will be supervised by Kirsten Larson, MD, medical director for the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin FastCare clinics, and staffed by Froedtert & MCW nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

“We want our FastCare clinics to make it easy for busy people to take care of minor health problems,” said Dr. Larson. “Customers at our other clinics in Meijer stores love the convenience, and we expect Sheboygan area folks will also appreciate having a new option for fast, affordable care they can trust.”

To ensure continuity of care, the Froedtert & MCW FastCare clinic will be linked to the electronic health record system serving the physician offices, clinics, hospitals and emergency rooms of the Froedtert & MCW health network. However, FastCare services are open to all, not just Froedtert & MCW patients.

The Froedtert & MCW FastCare clinic will be open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and selected holidays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Patients must be at least 18 months old.  No appointment is needed and because patients

are taken on a walk-in basis, waiting times typically are less than 15 minutes. The cost of a FastCare visit is $65, including basic laboratory tests completed on site. FastCare accepts most insurance plans. Pharmacy service is available onsite at the Meijer pharmacy or at the pharmacy of the patient’s choice. Learn more at froedtert.com/fastcare.

The Sheboygan location is the fifth Froedtert & MCW FastCare clinic to open in a Meijer store in southeastern Wisconsin. The other clinics are in Greenfield on West Layton Avenue, in Sussex on Lisbon Road, in Waukesha on East Sunset Drive and in West Bend on South Main St.
