Wisconsin sees highest number of COVID-19 hospitalizations, ICU use
Wisconsin continues to see record levels of COVID-19 hospitalizations, with 782 COVID-19 patients in hospitals as of Monday.
That was up 68 from Sunday and 142 from last week, according to the Wisconsin Hospital Association.
There were 209 COVID-19 patients in intensive care units, a new record. It was an increase of 15 from Sunday and up 36 from the last week.
The Department of Health Services reported 1,696 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, for a total 134,359 in the state.
Four more deaths brought the total to 1,381.
There were 8,560 more people tested, for a total 1,606,936.
The seven-day positivity rate per person as of Sunday was 17.3 percent, and the seven-day positivity rate per test result was 9.2 percent.
The seven-day average for newly reported daily cases was 2,395 on Monday.
