Aspirus Clinic – Marshfield to open December 1

MARSHFIELD, WI – Aspirus announces that they are opening a new primary care clinic on December 1. Aspirus Clinic – Marshfield (146 N. Central Ave.) will provide care for patients of all ages.

Located in Founder’s Square in downtown Marshfield, the 2,500 square-foot clinic will initially include four exam rooms. Laura Burns, PA-C, and Katelyn Frankwick, PA-C, natives of Mosinee and Auburndale, respectively, will provide care at the new location.

“We have a growing number of patients who travel from the Marshfield area to seek care at Aspirus locations,” said Matt Brewer, Vice President of Operations and Chief Nursing Officer of Aspirus Medical Group. “By establishing a clinic in Marshfield, we can offer additional access to primary care services in another community within our expanding service area and eliminate the need to travel for those who are seeking our care.”

Laura Burns, PA-C takes a special interest in keeping patients up-to-date on their preventative health screenings and helping motivate her patients to live healthy, balanced lifestyles to help prevent or even treat chronic illness. “I have a passion for educating patients about their health and wellness,” Laura said. “I am committed to providing treatment approaches that are individualized, as each patient’s health situation is unique to them.”

Laura earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from Des Moines University and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to joining Aspirus, she specialized as a physician assistant in gastroenterology for 10 years. In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, being physically active, and exploring the outdoors.

Katelyn Frankwick, PA-C enjoys the complexity of helping her patients manage chronic conditions. Her special interests include pediatrics, mental health, cardiology, and diabetes management. She loves the diversity of conditions within her internal medicine/pediatrics specialty. “Being a physician assistant gives me a chance to connect with individuals and gain their trust to form a strong relationship,” said Katelyn. “Giving individuals in small towns easy access to healthcare is so vitally important and one of the main reasons I chose to join the Aspirus family.”

Katelyn earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to joining the Aspirus Clinic – Marshfield, she cared for patients at Aspirus Stevens Point Clinic. In her leisure time, Katelyn enjoys gardening, watching sports of all kinds, biking, going for walks with her golden doodle, and playing with her daughter.
